Isn’t it too true that sometimes you don’t realise what’s on your doorstep? I live in North Shields, I know that we’ve got a working fishing harbour (I’ve known that all my life). I know that round the corner from the harbour is a tiny beach. But how many times have I taken the time to have a really good look around? Not very often actually.
So off I went with my camera and discovered some wonderful treasures! It was a stunningly sunny but cold day, you know the type, where the sun beats down on you but your breath is still visible in the cold air. A perfect day to be at the beach. With hardly anyone around apart from a few dog walkers and some ice cream eaters I had the perfect opportunity to click away and capture the moment.
All wrapped up against the elements and with seaweed in the air and sun on my back I thoroughly enjoyed capturing the delights that are only a hop, skip and a jump away from my front door. I love where I live!
