Well, we’ve had a stall at the market for a couple of months now! We’re planning on attending every other week, Sundays only as they have got such a better ‘shabby vintage chic’ vibe in comparison to Saturdays. We’ve met some really lovely people, stall holders and potential customers alike. I really love showcasing my designs and chatting to folk about how the frames are made, what I use in them etc. I met a lovely customer today who remembered my designs from the Christmas Victorian Market at North Shields last year….must have made a good impression eh?
We had lots of interest in the Christmas range so I’m going to start adding to it, thought I could do some Christmas words in French/Spanish for a change too, already got Noel in my range so thought why not? So that would mean adding Joyeux Noel and Feliz Navidad. Then on a broader note I could add Mi Casa, Mi Casa es tu casa, Bienvenido, Bienvenue to sit alongside my original Amore and Carpe Diem. I also had all my recycled furniture pieces today and have got another 3 or 4 projects on the go which will be added to the stall next time. I love seeing old and unloved furniture being transformed with a little bit of elbow grease and a lick of beautiful paint.
Why don’t you come along and say hello (Hola or Bonjour even) at Tynemouth Station Market its open 9-4pm although I’m so fussy about dressing my tables it takes me forever to set up!!!!! It’ll be lovely to see you there next time on Sunday 17.11 Here’s to kind weather and being busy, all things shabby and vintage!
